Blasphemous by design, 'Selfie Jesus' is a commentary on our culture's obsession with performance, even in our most private suffering. We don't just endure pain anymore, we perform it. We curate it. We seek audience, even at the edge of death. We've become so self-involved, we'd rather document our pain than transcend it.
